21st Century Curriculum

We believe, based on the best practices and thinking of the early digital media technology and communication adopters in the worlds education systems, that the, at best, 19 century model of education – the 6 period day, physical and finite classroom attendance, information providing educators, learned and memorized content assessed by discreet testing – is fundamentally retarding the California and American youth generation and crippling our economy, if not at the root cause of profound human dysfunction and conflicts. Digital media (audio visual) literacy is clearly becoming an unprecedented universal and contextual language. Transitional models that acknowledge the limitless and transformational learning fundamental to 21st Century digital tools and technologies are critical to bridge the gap between traditional regimented and universal individualized lifelong learning. This 21st Century Curriculum is a simple step forward towards this paradigm shift, a precedent for the world’s new workforce, economy and culture.
